A recently premiered documentary video explores the adoption of electric vehicles, or EVs, in Alaska.

Created by in collaboration with Alaska’s own award-winning Channel Films, shares insights from Alaska fleet managers, utilities, researchers, and state and local agencies. It covers such topics as cold weather performance, charging infrastructure and circular economy.

Michelle Wilber talks about temperatures and electric vehicles’ energy use in the documentary Electrified Alaska.

´¡°ä·¡±Ê’s Michelle Wilber shares her team’s work on EVs in cold climates with its Electric Vehicles in the Arctic, or EVITA, program. The team works with the communities of Kotzebue and Galena, with some data coming from the Interior, Southwest, Southcentral, Southeast and North Slope Alaska. She explains how the team looks at the challenges and opportunities for electrified transportation in rural Alaska by collecting EV data in cold weather and examining how EVs operate.
